If you have downloaded Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 opening intro also viewed the screenshots from our KOEI Warriors site, you will find that Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 this time is totally different from the previous, it is not like the deep strategy on and off to the battlefield but also it features a lot of new modes when usually you can see some of the characters they’re look alike in Dynasty Warriors series, such as Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Lu Bu, Zhuge Liang and etc.
When I first surfed through the Romance of the Three Kingdoms official site, it surprised me with a great changes and improvement they’ve featured in the battle and etc, and when I first received the game from KOEI Limited (UK) I started playing, it bring no disappointment to me at all and I started to play it and it’s so much enjoyed with the games I’ve played, the movie cut scenes and the narrations from Chinese from Japanese version of the game.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 is set in the same period of Chinese history, which are all based on the 14th century novel by the author, Luo Guanzhong. But in the game, you can choose to play the game either in historical of fictional mode, it depends on how close you want to stick to the actual story line.
KOEI has done a brilliant and impressive job on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11 this time by designing the interface really clean, good and everything is organized perfectly. The most interesting part is when you can participate in one-on-one duels and debates against other officers. Even this is part of the minigames in this game, but for winning duels and debates you can capture enemies, force a new diplomatic policy on another officer and increase your fame.

Talking about the music and sound effects, Romance of the Three Kingdoms music is appropriately dramatic, with heavily chanting and powerful war drums, but one thing you’re pretty sure is you’ll not realize to start humming with those tunes, ‘cause I did! The sound effect is somewhat fantastic in the battle but overall there are no voices in Romance of the Three Kingdoms because the dialogue is in text mode.
Because I played Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV, V, VI, VII and VIII and I missed out IX and X but this time when I played XI which is Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11, it brings so much fun to me, with the really well-designed game this time from KOEI, it is highly recommended for you to play this game but please make sure you are really interested in the strategy or the history of the game. |
